Spotlight on Excellence
In her award nomination for Gianna, Mayer said:
“Gianna has been engaged, excited and exceptional since day one. Gianna began communicating with me in late March when we first learned about our pairing and has immediately made an impact. As a sophomore, this is her first year working with the FIGs program as a PLA. Never once has she shied away from taking initiative. She asks questions and is open to suggestions and input while still leading our course. I was out of the country between the end of summer term and the start of fall. During my time away, she finalized the course page, communicated with students and ensured our course would run smoothly from week one.”
