Spotlight on Excellence
In the award nomination for Emily, her PLA said:
“Emily has been welcoming and helpful since we first were paired up together in the spring. She immediately made me feel comfortable and excited to begin planning our FIG. Emily provided me with lots of support and guidance while I was working on our FIG throughout the summer. Even though we’re only a couple weeks into the semester, Emily has shown her constant support and has empowered the students in our FIG.
Emily and I have weekly meetings to catch up and she always makes sure I am doing well and offers me any support or guidance that I may need. She always offers to help me with any task in my busy schedule even though she also has a very busy schedule. Emily has been extremely friendly, helpful, supportive, and understanding. Emily has been amazing to work with this semester so far and has made teaching the FIG very enjoyable.”
