Audrey Snider, Excellence in Leadership Awardee

Audrey Snider, Peer Leadership Advisor (PLA), for a Buisness FIG, received the FIG Excellence in Leadership Award on Oct. 18, 2024. She was nominated by Kim Hedges a Business Career Specialist. This award recognizes co-facs and PLAs who go above and beyond in service of Mizzou students.

Audrey Snider is currently a junior studying marketing and film production and has been a part of the FIG program for three years now. As a freshman she was enrolled in the Exploring Business FIG, and has been leading the course for the past two years.

Audrey benefited greatly from her experience during her time in her FIG, and aims to continue positively impacting Freshman during their transition to Mizzou and the Trulaske College of Business. Audrey is especially motivated by her background as a first-generation student from rural Missouri, understanding that support from peers can make a strong impact on your Mizzou experience.

In her award nomination for Audrey, Hedges said:

“I have had the honor and privilege to be paired with Audrey for a second year in a row for the Business FIG. Audrey exudes positivity and truly connects with her FIG students. She takes the initiative to develop engaging content and presentations to help students learn the ins and outs of college life. As part of the FIG curriculum, she has organized student panels, guest speakers, and subject matter that provides enriching experiences and a foundation for students to flourish in the College of Business.

Additionally, her experiences resonate with students as well as showcase the growth that she has clearly demonstrated since her journey began at Mizzou. She is eager, driven, and committed to supporting her students and providing skills and resources that will make them successful Tigers.”
